Walter Wortham, an attorney, was in an office there, too. Robert Kammer and Gates Tire Shop were at 20 Clarksville Street, on the corner. In 1959 First Federal Savings & Loan was at 30 Clarksville, Aikin & Townsend attornies were up stairs in the old Maxey, Long & Wortham office complex, and Handy Food Store was at 38 Clarksville on the corner. Northeast Insurance Company and Channel 99 took over the S&L later, and Stone Title was on the corner for a number of years.
