In 1921 Evans Studio was at 16, American Railway Express was at 18, and upstairs at 18 1/2 were offices of Paris & Mt. Pleasant as well as attorney A.P. Parks. Walter Wortham, an attorney, was in an office there, too. Robert Kammer and Gates Tire Shop were at 20 Clarksville Street, on the corner. In 1959 First Federal Savings & Loan was at 30 Clarksville, Aikin & Townsend attornies were up stairs in the old Maxey, Long & Wortham office complex, and Handy Food Store was at 38 Clarksville on the corner. Northeast Insurance Company and Channel 99 took over the S&L later, and Stone Title was on the corner for a number of years.
