About This Property

 In 1932, Amarillo's most famous architect, Guy Carlander built this Pueblo Deco style building, which originated from the Native American and Southwestern themes of the Art Deco movement. Using Geometric shapes to show a more modern style of architecture. The main feature showcases a frieze that circles the top of the building depicting yucca plants native to our area. For many years this structure was an upscale department store, now it houses offices for Amarillo National Bank and High Plains Radio.
