About This Property

 The owners prior to 1882, Edward and Beatrice Gaylord, probably built this Greek Revival dwelling. Simon Levy, a Jewish Prussian immigrant, bought the house in 1882 from Mrs. Gaylord. Levy later was a successful businessman, co-founding the A. & S. Levy Dry Goods Store.
