 This imposing, three-story structure is an outstanding example of Renaissance Revival architecture and housed the post office and federal governmental offices for almost fifty years. Constructed in 1911-13 by San Antonio contractor Otto P. Kroeger with James K. Taylor as supervising architect. It has been used for storage, living quarters and offices since the new post office/federal building on S. Main Street was completed in 1961.
