About This Property

Prominent cattleman Thomas M. O'Connor and leading south Texas attorney David Cogswell Proctor retained Cuero architect Paul Helwig to design this handsome Romanesque Revival building for their offices. The intricately detailed building was constructed by the McKnight Brothers, contractors from Halletsville, of St. Louis red brick and white sandstone from Kerrville.
