One of Victoria's most interesting dwellings, as its basic form is more typical of rural Texas houses and suggests an early construction date perhaps as early as 1850s; Victoria pioneer Herman Zahn and his wife Alvina obtained the property i n 1860, supposedly with a dwelling already extant, and the Zahn family held the lot and house until 1948.
