Historic Name: J.T. Jecker House

About This Property

The original house, built about 1870, was believed to be the residence of Dr. James B. P. January, who served as physician for Sam Houston's army during Texas' war for independence. By the late nineteenth century, Joe T. Jecker owned the property and in 1904 he commissioned architect Jules Leffland to remodel the house.
It appears much as it did when the Leffland alterations were completed.
