We estimate that this building was built in the late 1890s.  We have reason to believe the building was Summerour Grain & Grocery as early as 1914, but cannot confirm it is the same location.  JD Summerour owned a business in the building called Summerours Cotton Seed in 1945.  Bill and Dave Summerour took over the business and ran it until the early 1960s.  Following the cotton seed business came Hugh's Western Wear and Dry Cleaners.
