About This Property

Originally Mayhew & Isbell Lumber Co., this lumber yard was  purchased by F. E. Beecroft in 1933.  In 1946 the building that was the office  was moved and sold as a residence. The  southern half of the current structure was built to create a modern hardware store.  The northern portion of the building had  been built before 1910. This building was  where George Jolley had his International  Harvester dealership. Lumber and tractors  were brought in on the railroad spur which  ran through E. North Lane on the south  side of the property.
