About This Property

When Emma Pulliam’s  husband, Sterling, was murdered in Mexico,  she opened a millinery store in Uvalde to 
support herself and her son. When the first  store burned, she borrowed some money  from her brother-in-law, and built this two story  building for her store with two apartments on  the second floor, one for her residence and  one to rent out. In the 1930s and 40s Uvalde  Cash Grocery was downstairs.
