Historic name: Whitecotton Motors; Miller & Cobb; (built 1929)

About This Property

This Spanish Revival style  building was built in the 1920’s. It replaced a  wooden structure that housed the E. A. Miller  Blacksmith and Wheelwright business. Mr.  Miller repaired buggies and farm equipment  and shoed horses. When automobiles came to  Uvalde, Miller began repairing them too. Z. T. Whitecotton opened Whitecotton Motors  in half of the building and sold Plymouth and  Dodge automobiles while Miller continued 
to run Miller’s Service Station and Garage  in the other half.
