Historic name: Ingram Funeral Home (built 1910)

About This Property

H. W. House had  a funeral home where the Hope Service  Station building sits. He sold it to W. S.  Ingram who moved it down the block,  across from the fire station. He had a small  white hearse pulled by two white horses for   children’s coffins. Adults were carried in  a black hearse pulled by two black horses.  In 1927, Ingram took his motorized hearse  to Rocksprings after the tornado. His son  operated a bottling company next door 
which later became the Pearl Distributorship
