About This Property

Thompson and Tucker Lumber Company lumberyard office and storage was housed in this building. The second floor accessed by exterior stairs was the Y.M.C.A. There were wooden sidewalk canopies that originally ran the length of both north and east sides. The building later housed Safeway, followed by Taylor Paint and Hardware. Part of the building burned and was restored by the Taylor Conservation and Heritage Society. It is now owned by Art Office Signs.
