About This Property

Central Park includes the beautiful art deco fountain and bandstand. Town square with a grassy lawn with mature trees and sidewalks leading to a central, c. 1935 Art Moderne fountain constructed by the WPA that contributes to the site.  The lot was reserved for public use in the original 1838 town survey.  The fountain replaced an earlier fountain and the current bandstand, which was constructed in 2008, replaced an earlier bandstand; it does not contribute to the site.  There are several statues and monuments throughout the park, most of which are recent additions.
