In 1921 the block had W.M. House at 10 Lamar, upstairs was 10 1/2 with six renters in what was called the Denton-Fitzpatrick Building. 12 Lamar was Dr. O.E. Hayes. 14 Lamar was the lunch counter for the Palace Drug Store. 16 was the Lamar entrance to Kress. And, 18-20 was the Will E. Jones-Wynne Furniture Company. Probably the Masonic Lodge met on the second floor, corner building. In 1959 the Palace Drug Store Coffee Shop was 12 & 14. There is no mention of rent upstairs. 22 Lamar is the back Lamar entrance to Kress, and 34-38 are part of Kress by now.
