In service since its completion during the New Deal Era, this Federal Post Office with full basement boasts one of the murals commissioned by the US Treasury Department's Section of Fine Arts. Linden was especially fortunate to receive the beautiful canvas entitled "The Last Crop" by Victor Arnautoff - a protege of Diego Rivera. Arnautoff had painted the celebrated principal murals at San Francisco's Coit Tower in 1934. As did his famed mentor, Arnautoff almost invariably gave all prominence to those who do the work in human society.
