Nestled between Austin (60 mi), Houston (100 mi), and San Antonio (110 mi), La Grange is the ideal Texas opportunity: unique charm, low cost of living, and a warm welcome for everyone. At La Grange Main Street, we work to preserve our cultural uniqueness while prioritizing business development, investment attraction, and entrepreneurial support through a range of tools. Downtown La Grange is the cultural center of Fayette County, home to the Fayette County Courthouse and 73 Historic properties, and is both a local Historic District and a National Register Historic District, the latter of which provides property owners with an opportunity to utilize both State and Federal Historic Tax Credits. Additionally, our Main Street program has partnered with our Economic Development Corporation to provide a range of local incentives to support small businesses, including a Façade Grant program for exterior building improvements and a Downtown Building Improvement program for interior improvements.
