The next two buildings with similar facades.  The units addressed as 314 and 316 E Kleberg are one building with two bays and built in the early 1920s by B.C. Brookshire.  This was called the Brookshire Building.  The unit addressed as 318 E Kleberg was built a few years later by his brother, Tom Brookshire.  A number of different businesses have occupied these buildings over the years. The Perry Brothers’ Store and the Federal Clothing Store were two. Today the unit at 318 E Kleberg is independently owned.
