About This Property

Trant Children’s Clothing shop was located at number 311 and Trant’s Dress Shop at number 313.  These buildings were built after World War II, in 1946, with the money the Trant family had invested in war savings bonds.  The original brick of these buildings has been redone and covered.  Mrs. Trant managed the Dress and Beauty Shop until her death in 1972.  At that time Trant’s was the oldest privately owned Dress and Beauty Shop in Kingsville.
