The Rex Theater was opened in 1926 and tan as an independent “movie house.” It was bought out by the Rialto Theater in an apparent attempt to minimize competition.  Pause a moment to take a look at the interesting façade with the columns on each side above the canopy and the large angular cornice.  In later years it has been Town and Country Fashions,  a retail store, and Showplace Graphics.
