220B is the middle storefront in this building.  The 1918 fire gutted the wood frame structures on these lots.  The property originally belonged to E.W. and C.P. House who worked for the Kleberg Bank. The interesting two tone brick building has been home to many businesses over the years including Allen’s furniture.  Number 218 was City Meat Market.  Oliver’s Jewelry at 220 has been a fixture since the 1960s.
