A Gulf Service Station once sat here at this location and the pumps were positioned at an angle so that cars drove across the corner to get gas.  From the 1950s it was "Honest Bud Milam, the Smiling Irishman's" Firestone Tire Store and Used Cars. He sold tires, batteries, auto parts and used cars. It changed to an automotive repair shop and is now home to JL Davis Construction.
