At one time the southern portion of this property was part of the Coca Cola bottling plant of Grand Saline.  The Coca Cola bottles were stamped on the bottom with "Grand Saline".  The plant bottled the famous soft drink and water.  A separate building had a dental office for Dr. Mitchell.
There have been three automobile dealerships here on the south side of the property. First, Tom McGrain's Motor Company followed by York Motor Company and finally Robertson's Ford.  There was a showroom, sales offices and service department.  Later the front of the building was a grocery store, Redding's Super Market.  The grocery store burned and the building was demolished.  Mr. Harry Clifford and a business partner constructed a new building in 1988 as office spaces that are occupied by several types of business services.
