The Chamber of Commerce office is located in the Pavilion which serves as a voting precinct.  Community events are held here.  Next to the Pavilion you will find a retired T & P Railroad caboose.
Historically, this is the location of the J.E. Persons Hardware Store which later became the Salt City Company Hardware and Lumber Store.  The building was vacant for a while after the Salt City Company closed and then reopened with a dry cleaner and sewing/alterations shop.  After the cleaners closed the building was torn down and eventually donated to the City of Grand Saline.  In 2006, the Main Street Program raised funds from the community and private sources to pay for the construction of the park and gazebo.  This area is used for many community events.
