In 1956, Jack Poff bought a half interest in the Thomas and Gilpin Mens Store. In 1962, Jack bought the other half interest and the store became known as Jack Poff Men and Boys Wear. Shortly after that time his wife, Maurine, joined Jack to work in the store for more than 40 years.
