About This Property

Prominent local businessman Alexander Hamilton,  Sr. founded this bank with lumberman C.L. Stadler in 1881. This building was constructed in 1893. Hamilton originally served as president, but Lee Joseph, who originally served as cashier, became  president. In 1926 the bank reorganized and was renamed Farmers State Bank before relocated to other facilities.
