About This Property

A group of leading businessmen formed the Corsicana Commercial Club in the 1890s to promote growth and industrial development for the city. The group officially changed its name to the Chamber of Commerce in 1917, shortly after occupying this 2-part commercial block. The simple building features modest stylistic influences drawn from the Classical Revival style, viewed as a progressive architectural expression during the early 20th century (National Register Historic District description, 1995).
