About This Property

G W. Tull established his first business at this location in 1858. In 1892, he built the first brick building on the Canton square on the same lot where his business bean in 1858. G. W. Tull's general merchandise business served as the anchor of the Canton business community until his death in 1917. His son, W. W. Tull, Jr. at his father's death, become owner of the business and operated it until shortly before his deaht in 1957, one year short of the businesses 100 year anniversary.
