About This Property

Joseph William Andrews was one of the more substantial farmers in Van Zandt County. Besides farming, Andrews investd in city property, including Canton. He built the third brick building on the Canton square and operated a hardware store from the location. The building is best known for the Nolen Bros Drug Store. In 1902, Albert Sidney and George Tate Nolen, purchased the drug business from Doc Franklin Clark and moved it from what is now 100 W. Dallas Street to this location. Nolen Bros Drug Store was operated at this location until 1946, when it was sold and became Eagle Drug store.
