About This Property

The Texas and New Orleans (T&NO) passenger station is a classic example of an early 20th century brick railway station, replacing an older wooden structure. The low lying profile and overhanging hipped roof gables with wood brackets are reminiscent of F.L. Wright's early Prairie houses. The building was restored by Wayne Reaud in the 1980s.
