About This Property

The 16-story San Jacinto Building was designed by architects Sanguinet, Staats & Hedrick from Fort Worth in a Neo-Classical style. The limestone facade has a tri-parlite division which reflects the classic Sullivanesque prescription for skyscraper design. The four-sided clocktower (with faces each 17' in diameter) was the largest of its kind at the time of construction. The round cupola with spire unfortunately dissapeared in the 1950s. The San Jacinto Building was one of the first downtown skyscrapers.
