About This Property

The America National Bank Building is a 12-story skyscraper designed in a Neo-classical style by architect John Ruskin Baily of Houston. Following the model of 19th century skyscraper pioneer Louis Sullivan, the building emphasizes its verticality and is divided into a tripartite base mid-section and crown. The tow story base and crown each have windows in the form of a Roman arch alternating with paired pilasters. The mid section has rectangular double hung windows. Currently the 470 Orleans building serves as office space and the home of the Beaumont Foundation of America.
