About This Property

The two story George Wilson Building (originally the Hecht Moke Clothing Co.) is one of few pre-Spindletop I commercial buildings remaining in the downtown. Stylistically a mixture of 19th century eclecticism and Romanesque, it was restored in the 1990s, along with other remaining Crockett Street buildings by Penland, Flanagan and Umphrey.
