The Wertzner Building was built about 1870, originally housing a grocery and dry goods store run by the Wertzner family. Between 1900 and 1925, the building housed a variety of other businesses, including a warehouse and a tailor shop. In 1940, Leon Wertzner sold it to Delia Hasler who built a small room inside to serve as a Western Union office for servicemen and their families during World War II. The room was later dismantled and the building was used as a warehouse until 1983. Today the building serves as a restaurant.
